We work to ensure we are in compliance with privacy legislation. As a result, we collect minimal information from a school or the parents and staff associated with the school. At no time is any school, teacher, parent or student data shared or sold or used for any purpose other than booking interviews with the SchoolSoft Conference Scheduler or facilitating communications related to SchoolSoft and the services it provides.
When parents log into the SchoolSoft system, they do so voluntarily, and always have the option of phoning the school if they are uncomfortable with, or unable to use our online booking system. The parent and student information collected from parents only includes parent and child names, parent email address and parent phone number (optional). Information entered by parents is retained allowing parents to use the same login credentials for each round of parent-teacher interviews for the duration of the time they have a child in the school. After a parent's account is inactive for one year period all related information is automatically purged. Parents also have the ability to remove their accounts by clicking a link that indicates this that is contained in most of the automated emails sent by the system when conference rounds are open or reminder emails are sent.
